The Career Educational activity Division at Laney College (Oakland) offers career exploration programs for interested high school students in the Bay Area.

The programs are 6 weeks long and are focused on informing students virtually unlike career pathways through fun hands-on activities. Nosotros have "priority" programs for high school students, also equally regularly-scheduled introductory classes. All of these courses run into during the standard Laney summertime term (June thirteen – July 22nd, 2022).

Program highlights:

  • Explore career interests,
  • Develop new skills,
  • Get easily-on experience in subjects that might not be offered in your High School,
  • Run into other students with like interests
  • Get a taste of college classes, &
  • Earn higher credit.

Taking part in a summer program is too a plus on UC/CSU college applications.

Have fun learning how to catechumen your bicycle to an E-Wheel. Bring together this special training and run across how nosotros will bring together different fields such as electrical engineering, applied science, chemical science, and physics to convert a pedal bicycle to an electrical bike in this fun project. You'll acquire to apply electrical concepts to circuits, measurement of voltage, principles of solar electricity development, energy storage systems, and principles of motors.

The courses beneath are regularly scheduled Laney summer courses open up to all (including high school students).   1. Everyone needs to register to go a Peralta ID number.
